Seperti trend saat ini, Samsung I9500 Galaxy S 4 hadir dengan layar berukuran 5 inci resolusi Full HD 1080 x 1920 piksel (441 ppi) menggunakan teknologi Super AMOLED yang dilengkapi dengan pelindung Gorilla Glass 3. Ponsel ini memiliki dimensi 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm, bobotnya tergolong ringan untuk ponsel layar 5 inci yakni hanya 130 gram saja.
Membawa jeroan baru, Galaxy S IV mengusung Chipset Exynos 5 Octa 5410 menggunakan CPU Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 serta dilengkapi dengan GPU PowerVR SGX 544MP untukkualitas grafis mumpuni, sementara itu smartphone ini telah memakai Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean didukung oleh RAM sebesar 2GB serta kapasitas memori 16GB/32GB/64GB yang dapat diekspan dnegan slot microSD sampai 64GB.
Untuk pemasok daya, Galaxy S 4 dilengkapi dnegan baterai Li-Ion 2600 mAh, seperti pendahulunya, Galaxy S3 pada saat pertamakai diluncurkan dulu, pilihan warna Galaxy S 4 saat ini adalah White Frost dan Black Mist. Tak ketinggalan pula, HP Galaxy S IV dibekali dnegan kamera 13MP (belakang) dan kamera depan beresolusi 2MP, kedua kameranya mampu merekam video sama bagusnya yakni full HD 1080p dengan kecepatan 30fps.
