Tidak hanya memproduksi ponsel pintar saja, Sony pun memperluas jangkauan pasarnya dengan memproduksi tablet Sony Xperia Tablet Z dengan ukuran layar cukup luas yakni 10 inci. Tablet ini merupakan sebuah produk anyar Sony di pasar tablet. Berbobot 500 gram, dengan layar 10 inci dan beresolusi 1200 x 1920 memiliki kemampuan tahan air dan debu. Sehingga pengguna tidak perlu takut untuk mengajak tablet ini bermain outdoor. Kamera yang melengkapi tablet ini cukup fantastis, yakni 8.1 MP dan kemampuannya untuk merekam video HD 1080p. Sedangkan kamera sekundernya juga lumayan bagus yaitu 2.2 MP.
Tablet yang bersistem operasi Android ini, dilengkapi prosesor berkecepatan 1.5GHz dari Krait, GPU Adreno 320, dan RAM sebesar 2GB yang cukup besar.
