Ponsel ini bukan ponsel GSM seperti yang biasa diluncurkan Samsung, tapi dukungan jaringannya adalah CDMA. Samsung Galaxy Axiom R830 mendukung fitur multitouch yang membuat ponsel ini interaktif.
